Im having trouble with my Internet Explorer browser. its version 6.0. my problem is that I have no General tab in my internet options (tool - internet options). i have all the rest there, but i need general to get my start page and that kind of crap.

i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it still doesnt reappear. if any one has any ideas, i would appreciate hearing them. for now i am using the latest version of opera.

wow, that's damn weird. sorry i dunno anyway to help you, hopefully someone else does.

set the homepage manually

go to start->run->regedit

now navigate to

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main

and change the value of start page to whatever u want.

Dont do this if you are not comfortable with editing the registry. One wrong deletion or modification in the registry may screw up your pc for ever.

Thanks The_Dude. I have a bit of experience with regitry editing so this wasnt a problem. I just had no idea that I could do it in there.

It did work, but I still have no general tab. not a big deal, but it still bothers me :P
