How can I fix OpenGl

Ok

Im running win XP and whenever i run an opengl game, my screens refresh rate goes horribly low, like really noticable flickering.

But it doesnt happen if im in D3D mode. But then the other problem kicks in, Under D3D my mouse has some terrible lag,

Does anyone have any answers to these situations

It could be that you are running the game in too high a resolution so the video card can not produce a new frame fast enough to avoid flickering.

its a gf2mx400 and its not a frame rate issue, im gettting 70+ frames in the games and my screen can go to 85Hz at the resolution, ive got the latest drivers for everything, but its just not working.

uninstal the drivers and re enstall them, that may do it.
