HP iPaq PDA problem..

Didn't know where else to put this, but maybe somoene here knows.

I have an HP iPaq PDA and when it gets to the info screen when you turn it on, the Stylus doesn't work, the clock is stuck at 12:33, all you can do is just turn it back off.

Anyone know how to reboot these things? Or if the OS needs to be reinstalled, or?

drain the battery and leave it unplugged it'll revert to basic (essentially reinstalling the OS to default), or reflash it. hp's site has the flashers on there.

Try a soft reset first. Check the manual, the procedure is different depending on the model. Usually there's a small, indented button somewhere on the bottom or back of the device. If that doesn't work, do a hard reset (check the manual again), but you'll lose all your files and programs. You don't have to re-install the OS, even if you've upgraded it. It stays in flash memory so it's invulnerable to the hard reset. If THAT doesn't work, call HP. And that, my friend, is something you don't want to have to do.
