hyperlink issues...

I'll try my best to explain myself here....I'm not the company computer guy by any means, so we'll see how this goes.

Basically, when I try to use a link..lets say a link in the link posts section...instead of sending me to the link, I get a message on my task bar that says, "microsoft internet explorer". My mouse pointer gets the hourglass next to it, and nothing happens. I'm running Windows XP and internet explorer. It's not just on this site, its on any website I go to. I havn't messed with any of the controls yet, and hadn't previous to the problem. I've been doing the same things on my computer that i've always done, it just started acting up...Any suggestions would be great...Thanks

This isn't really the fix you are looking for, but I would suggest trying Phoenix or Mozilla.

I guess I should probably try switching to a new browser...I've heard good things about Opera, any other suggestions?

Mozilla and Opera both work well. Try one or try both of them and see which you like better.

By any chance does your company block access to certain types of websites? If you're getting onto TFP OK but not XXX links maybe that's whats going on.
