he i have a linksys 2.4 ghz 802.11b wire less internet.

it runs S...l..o...w

my dad was using my computer and saw how slow it runs and asked what we could get to speed it up.

if i need new hardware just tell.

also i have a dell, win xp.

all in all what is the best wireless internet.

well how far away are the computers? whats between the computers, walls? floors? all these things can give a really weak signal. I think before going onto anything else like hardware troubleshooting and all that jazz, that needs to be known first.

About how many feet apart were the computers? Also, what are your walls made out of?

may also help to tell us where the machines are located exactly and where the WAP, if you have one, is in referance to the other computer. It could help to move it as much between the two computers as possible. There are tons of factors that could be doing this.
