Autoplay

i'm having a problem when i pop in a cd and it won't display the AUTOPLAY prompt, i've tried the right click and going to the auto play tab, and i chose always prompt. nothing ever came up.

Do a google search for autoplay disable, and make sure that the registry key that it mentions is set to allow autorun.

if you have msconfig installed, you might want to check the autoplay settings there.

tweak ui is also good for configing autoplay.

Tweak UI works pretty good.
If you have XP get it here.

Another option if you are running 2K/XP is to use gpedit to disable it.
It is under User Configuration > Administrative Templates > System "Turn off autoplay". Set it to "Enable" to disable Autoplay.

so if i turn off auto replay a prompt will always pop up and tell me which program i'd like to use to run the disc?
