computer = FX pedal ?

hi,

does anyone know of any software that I can use to turn my computer into a guitar effects pedal?

I know a little about the Java I/O stuff but would rather not have to write it all myself that could take years.

thanks

the only thing you could do is to use VST plugins as effects. but you'd probably need to install recording software.

even then, it's not going to be like a stompbox where you can easily toggle the effect.

if you DO want to go this route, i recommend you get recording software. you could try "audacity" (FREE), and then download some VST plugins off the web.

otherwise, spend a couple hundred and get yourself some cool pedals (or a pedalboard). even used ones!
