Mac problems

An old man contacted me the other day, and said his old Mac is having problems. He says you can move the mouse and everything, but the icons on the desktop don't work. I mean you can't even click on them, as if they were part of the background.

I don't know what OS or anything, but I was just hoping somebody'd have a clue before I go look at it.

I just talked to him again, and everythings frozen. You can't click on anything at all.

And the keyboard doens't work to do it either.

Sounds pre-OS X to me; I recall system freezes where only the mouse works, but it feels like everything is under glass. All you can do is reboot, and hope he saved what he was working on.

Ya, I hit that many a time in High School on their computers. Hence why I hate mac's so much even though they aren't the same as they used to be.

Heh. It's not like if your High School had pc's that they'd be any more stable though.

Macs crash, Windows crashes, *nixes crash completely rarely, but gpl software often can leave a lot to be desired stability wise. :P
