[BREW] What is your opinion on wireless games programming?

I'm getting started on programming for wireless devices, any hints or trick for mostly BREW but J2ME is also good. I like the Brew 2.1 SDK, but I have trouble with the fact you have to use timers with event driven stuff so time critical stuff is harder to do. Any alternate methods to callback timers?

i never used brew, but for all my wireless gaming i use fortran. not the oofortran, but the old stuff. punch cards baby, 150 characters per line, 80 lines per card. there aint nothing more satisfying than beating somebody on laptop plugged into a mechanical computer! - who can zip their cards thru faster!

Well, tangentially related, I don't program in the wireless space, but do art for wireless games and have to say that having 300K bar files rock much more than 64k jar files.
