Anyone Familiar with Karel ?

Its sorta a newbie " gentle introduction to Object oriented programming"
Its my first language
Im taking a course on it - that then moves onto Java
and I was having a few problems with it- there isnt a wealth of information out there on it- and the book we use is sub-par ( and its like the ONLY book on it).
Im just trying to see If i can get some help with 1 particular issue ( precidents and the ! return command )

If anyone is familiar with the language - lemme know

Ok I thought I was in the know. Apparently somewhere along the line I got old. What's Karel?

I hadn't heard of Karel either and so I did a search So here's what I came up with - Karel Apparently, there is also Karel++ though this link is to a book by that name which teaches object oriented programming using Karel techniques - so Karel++ might not be an "official" term

oh man, i remember how i had to learn that at the end of ap computer science in high school.
pretty much all you do is move a "robot" around on the screen.
i didn't learn anything from it at all (maybe cause i already knew a bit of object orented programming)
