Task Manager

Can anyone provide a way to keep the task manager running and minimized to the system tray? I thought there was a way but I can't find it now.

I'm running Windows XP Home.

If you open the Task Manager, go to Options and then select Hide When Minimized...it will move to the systray and not the task bar.

Is that what you were looking for?

Yeah, that did it. I don't know why I didn't see it when I was looking earlier. Thanks.

I used to have a bitch of a time with taskman not always showing in the tray - XP pro, maybe even before sp1, couple years ago ... never figured out why, and it did it on a few installations.

anyways....nowadays I use a prog better than taskman:

Process Explorer - http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/fr.../procexp.shtml
