technology behind SATA drives

i was wondering if anyone had some links for the technology behind SATA drives or in depth comparisons for sata vs eide drives.. got some off of tomshardware already.. just lookin for anything else anyone might have.. thanks in advance

Given that SATA and PATA (eide) are standards, I suspect there's some sort of technical specification to be found on the 'net.
