linux on a palm device...

hi all i have been planning on upgrading to a new palm. i am limited to whatever best buy is offering, as i have a large amount of in store credit to use. my primary concerns is that the device have wireless (802.11b, bluetooth) and be able to run linux. i have seen the hot new ipaqs and have tenitivly set my sights on the ipaq rx3715. it looks pretty cool and has all the connectivity features i need. unfortunatly i am having a hard time finding a linux os for it. i have been in handhelds.org but they seem to be having some semi-serious issues w/ their site. so while i am waiting for them to work out their issues, what do you all reccomend? have any of you attempted this? do you reccomend any distros? how hard will this be? any help would be appreciated

Here's a good site, I put linux on an older ipaq with this tutorial, it's fairly straight forward:

Here's a great overview for things you should check/know before you put linux on your ipaq

Here's why you're having problems checking out their site:

As you can see, handhelds.org is now at least partially back online. Our apologies for the long and unscheduled lack of service.

It looks like we were running into a kernel bug associated with the relatively obscure chipset used on the server and the two backup servers, which is what was causing such delays in bringing things back.

But as part of all this work, we (George) have cleaned up many config files and gotten things to the point where we can have a failover server running. All hail France for putting in so many hours of volunteer maintenance service.

Not all services running yet:FTP is running. HTTP is running, but some directories are not available yet while we do a security audit. SSH is not enabled yet, nor is CVS (ssh or anoncvs). They will be coming soon.

When they get that up, check these out:
