Legos are Fun!

My god this guy was bored!

http://members.cox.net/richw/lego.htm

I wish I had that many legos to do something fun like that.

I saw something the other day with this little pictorial of lego dudes building a Star Wars Battle Cruiser. It made me really want to get some big fuckin lego thing and build it. Maybe I will.

And my kids laughed when I told them that Legos can be fun, Hell when I was younger I built a R2-D2, CP3O, The Spaceship Yamoto and the General Lee car.

There's no limit as to what you can make with them. But the key piece that eludes this generation is imagination.

Those PC cases are cool. They'd be better if they were a solid color.

Excellent use of Legos... I love those things, and would gladly attempt something like this given time (and talent). I do have alot of my old Legos still lying around somewhere, from the olden days....

The later ones had a much better color scheme than the first few. I'm not too excited about the gaudy colors, but the idea is still sound.

definately rediculous when you make lego your life. I never want to see anyone do anything like this ever again, it makes me think about how sad some people's lives are.

GOOD GRAVY. That just makes me want to get up and go do something, before I get so bored in the house I start doing something ludicrous like a humongous lego church.

Pretty impressive. I really like the look it gives the equipment. Here at work everything is Dell, and it's all black.

I'll repeat it. That church is... amazing because of the feat, yet somehow disturbing. It's similar to when someone becomes preoccupied with their scale train set and spends decades building tracks around their house with little scale restaurants and little scale customers and little scale guys that wave flags and bigger scale functional water towers, etc. Something makes me think their families should have visited more often.

I was about to post that I would hate to have to change a card or add a hard drive to one of those things but I see that he added side panels that actually detach later. Not like those were probably intended to last as a permanent case. Or were they?

And as far as way too much time with legos, check out this guys stuff:
http://www.ericharshbarger.org/cgi-b...ages/mona_lego

He's got some really cool stuff on his site. He built a working grandfather clock too with only legos!

There is a difference though... the guy on the link Bratwurst posted looks like he gets paid for some of his LEGO projects. The lady who built the church out of LEGOs aparentally did it for the hell of it...

Correct me if I'm wrong, though.

The great thing about those cases is that they probably cost nothing since the people that made them already had zillions of legos. Very cool stuff.

Too bad most of those end up looking like crap. The last one isn't that bad though. It'd be great if someone did something a little more creative and didn't just make a standard computer case shape.
