SPDIF and the ASUS z71v

I recently got a new laptop which is based off of the asus z71v, which has something like "intel HD audio" and "azalia compliant" audio. The audio output jack (3.5mm aka 1/8'') says SPDIF...would any of you happen to know if it is a coaxial spdif shrunken into a 3.5mm jack, or if it is one of those 3.5mm optical jacks, or something entirely different?

if you do know, know where I can get the cords I need to attach it to a receiver?
