Yeah, download Enlightenment, KDE, Gnome, etc. Change to tsh, ksh, zsh, bash, or any other number of shells.

Oh wait. Nevermind!

Wincustomize.com as posted above it a good place to start. You might look at stardock.com for a lot of nifty stuff if you're into that.

Blackbox for Windows (http://www.bb4win.org/) is pretty nifty. Much lighter on resources than explorer.

Try desktop X. Desktop X is probably the most popular alternative shell, but I don't like it. Personally I'm a fan of bblean. It's a more minimalistic blackbox shell, works great IMO. The download is less then 2MB and it only uses like 8 MB of RAM.

Litestep is still around, they just had some hard drive issues that have now been resolved.
http://www.litestep.net/

Heres are some other good links to check out for different shells and themes:
http://www.shellfront.org/
http://www.stardock.com/ < DesktopX and many other great programs ($$$)
http://www.lighttek.com/ < Talisman Desktop

And here are some other threads that discussed different shells and themes on the TFP:
Do you use custom windows Themes?
Anyone here use a shelling program?
Shell replacements

Good luck and have fun expiramenting.
