on vacation i was in the pool for about 2 mins with my cell phone, i think its shot, but i left it dry out but its saying insert sim card...i tried another sim card and still the same message...when i try to dial a number it says emergency numbers only. i tested my sim card and it works in another phone so its not the sim card. i feel naked without my cell phone

, so i could use any help i can get.

It's probably shot... did you have any sort of handset insurance so you can replace it cheap? I've seen phones damaged just from humidity from saunas. Even if you let them dry out, they'll often corrode inside later & keep getting progressively worse. From my experience, the final solution is almost always getting a new phone.

yeah but i was hoping i could use it til i can get a new one

at work they told me to put it on the dash of my car and let it bake...so i rapped in it a paper towel so ppl would see it and go ohh free phone.

you could try taking it completely apart and rinsing all the electronics in Distilled water and then letting it dry out...

sometimes it helps... sometimes it doesnt...
