Direct TV HD DVR

Well i bought a 42" LCD HDTV and i was looking at getting dvr already. And i saw direct tv had a HD DVR box.

Anyone ever used this?

They only offer a few channels for 10$ a month but watching the footbal games in HD is worth it.

I have the comcast one, but two of my friends have the direct tv hd box and its not that bad. To me, I have the HD tv, might as well use it to its full potential. And yea, having the HD is probably the reason that my house is the one to watch the game at, regardless if I like it or not.. hah. The thing I liked more about the direct TV is that it seems more responsive. The comcast box seems sluggish, if you try to skip like 4 or 5 pages rapidly you have to wait for it to chug along whereas the directv is instant, alot more smooth.

If it is anything like the regular Tivo it will look like shit. Just stick with a cable company box, it looks better and you can record 2 things at once. Just my 2 cents. I have tried both and I am 1 million times happier with the cable dvr.
