Concealed Carry Vest

Smith & Alexander (cover vest for belt / shoulder rig)

http://www.smithandalexander.com/apparel.html

or

Concealed Carry Clothiers (vest w/ built-in holsters)

http://www.concealedcarry.com/product.php?id=9&image=18

...

Any experience with these vests?

Granted, I think they look a little silly and make it pretty obvious you're packing to those who know anything about handguns... but I might need one in the future and I'd like an comments / opinions / experiences with 'em.

I vote for the CCC, but only because they have that angry dwarf modeling it...

IMO, shoulder rigs and vest rigs for CC are really only useful for colder weather when you can actually wear heavier clothing comfortably...like jackets. I vote neither

BUT LET'S SAY FOR THE SAKE OF DISCUSSION...

...that I was going to buy one. I like me some shoulder rigs.

They're useful if you're sitting a lot. They keep junk off my belt.

They're good for motorcycles. I have a really minimalist one.

I think I might go with the CCC just because it has internal pockets.

I don't need a man-shawl / coverup. Crompsin like pockets.

for the sake of argument, i'd go with inside pockets....not necessarily the vest though.

Rofl!

I had to click the link *just* to see that.... ahahahahahaha

Also, speaking in terms of fashion vests are ICK. especially that awful color/style/material combination. It would be SO obvious... I'd just wear a short sleeve button up shirt unbuttoned over a tee or something... ugh.

Or get a Kel-tec / Kahr and pocket carry ^_^

If you're going to get a vest, you might as well just take a page from Clint Eastwood and just wear a poncho like he does in Fist Full of Dollars, Fore Few Dollars More, and The Good The Bad and The Ugly. Either way you'll be making a fashion statement.

The only people I see wearing vests are professional photographers. Which if you try to go for that look, it give yous tons of pockets and gear bags to stow stuff in.
